I made this cake for my cousin's birthday. I know it looks a little weird, but let me explain the story. The monkey and the lizard were taken from a drawing she made of her and her boyfriend (those were their nicknames for each other). But even if you didn't know that, I'm sure you can appreciate the texture of the tree and how it wraps around the entire cake. The vines and lives were piped vanilla frosting. I actually bought the sugar flowers from a cake decorating store because I didn't know how to make them, but they were always my cousin's favorite, so I knew she would enjoy having them on her cake.
